matter & mind; we appreciate an artwork for emotional power or objective beauty that is finally display to us.

what was missing often is the thinking and making process that is inspiring as the final object. it's the skill and vocabularies that bring the ideas into reality.

the design of this exhibition space intends to grasp this state of evolution. the final objects are juxtaposed with the process of creation.

it brings light to seemingly worthless object that gave meanings by thought, questioning the boundary between design and art.

hahahanzen & li, the works are compared with the objects that inspired the taxidermy:

the bird that was found dead due to urbanisation;

the old items that exist despite the passing of time;

and the dried plants that were picked up from the garden near the house.

for nao yu yang, the presentation was reflected through an experience during a voyage.

artworks inspired from the journey are intertwined with works that were used for experimenting with different techniques and materials.

it completes the delicate, hand-crafted work by the artist.

a custom-made design from the everyday use of plywood unfolds the works of both artists in different forms.
